Southport State School is proudly an eSmart school.
An eSmart school is a school where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wider school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.
In 2021, we are introducing a new eSmart policy, an Incident Response Procedure Flowchart to assist in dealing appropriately with technology misconduct and a Student User Agreement. These documents will improve the way our school manages cybersafety, cyberbullying and the use of any other information communication technologies.
The resources contained on this page will empower students, staff and the wider school community in becoming well supported to be smart, safe and responsible users of digital technology and provide guidance when there may be a need to report inappropriate use.
We encourage everyone in the school community to continue to uphold and promote eSmart behaviours, at school and at home. If you are aware of any incidents of bullying, cyberbullying or risky online behaviour, please use the above red button to speak to the relevant member of the leadership team.
